We have released a mandatory patch to the PC version that has numerous bug fixes.
Click here to learn more about Monopoly.
We have also made some updates/bug fixes to our In-Browser version.

Release of Monopoly/BPM Millisecond Tool
We have spent lots of time working on a free, multiplayer Monopoly game. It will run on PC's and has a web version.
Please check out the Monopoly page for details.
We also have released a simple tool that will let you enter a note value and BPM, and give you milliseconds. Useful in DecTalk scripting.

SDM 4.2/Multiplayer
SDM 4.2 has been released. Many bugs were fixed. Click on the Products/Games page and click on Shoot Da Me for more information and a download,
I have been working for the past few days on a multiplayer 'system'. (This system works) Have you ever played an audiogame where you must type in another person's IP? Well, this system says bye to that. Using PHP, we are able to create a multiplayer system with no IP typing. If you are a host, your IP posts to a webserver, along with your name. If you are joining a game, you are presented with a menu of people's name's wanting to play. [It is more complex then what I've explained, but from a player's point of view, that's all the typical player will care about.] There is also a PHP file that shows you who is online, waiting for a connection.
Managment of this system will be easy for me, as I created a utility to manage the entire system. As for the actual game programming, it would function like any other multiplayer game. (It goes directly from computer to computer). I am thinking of testing this system's stability by creating a simple multiplayer boxing game, and then who knows what else..

We close/Dev Update
June 20, 2008
RS Games has closed for some time, for the next few months. Years was a bit extreme, I would miss developing for that long.
I am taking some time off...however I should be a casual poster on audyssey/ag-forum again soon.
For a reason, I can't neccesarily give one...perhaps it's just RS Games that's done it.
As far as our projects, they will remain un-touched..we are not giving rights to finish games or anything. (Since we'll be back within the next few months)
It's been my pleasure.
We will continue working on some small developments/utilities here and there.
Thank You, especially for your patience.
We also decided to develop an application that will let you use SAPI in programs not able to. All the user has to do is generate a text file, and open a program. Examples are included for popular languages,

Shoot Da Me Beta 4 Released
June 7, 2008
We have released our most famous game, Shoot Da Me, a game in which you shoot with your arrow keys. I am happy to say, that one sentence description does not describe Shoot Da Me Beta 4 well. We've added too many features for me to remember, so the one's are listed on the Products page. Some include a 3D Game, a side scroller, a new boss, opposite mode,  an assistant who takes turns every 5 shot randomly who can miss, shoot, and get in the line of fire. Him missing/shooting counts toward your statistics. We've also added an autosave feature saving every time a copter is dropped. You can reload your saved game from the menu. We've also added a terrific sighted interface, that can be used with no speakers at all. It even has a closed caption of Sapi! There's also the usual stuff like bug fixes and what not. Score posting still works...I don't think I'll be seeing 400's anymore?

We've also aded a mailing list page, accesible right below the News Archive (coincidentally is right below this News article). You can suscribe to it, and it is family friendly, I know accept/deny EVERY post. I may have said I will "try", but I will moderate posters.

May 10, 2008
Hi,
We uploaded out 3D version of SDM. It is a walk-around style game where you must find the boss, talking to people, picking up items, and killing guards. We expect to add MUCH more features, like weapon changing, less sapi, etc. It is a zip file. When you extract it, there will be 2 items, a readme.txt and a 3D folder. Read the readme, then go into the 3D folder and click 3D.exe, or something similiar to that name. Then the game will start. There is no menu, just start walking around. Game may take up to a minute or so to load on machines less than 256 megs of ram.  Please read the readme first!!

March 18: Developers Center Update
Hi People. We have updated our Developer Center with Part 2 of our VB Tutorials. We will be continuing our series, through as much as people want. You can download it from the developers center. I will also be generating VB Quizzes coordinating each Part and Chapter, web-based, for you to see how well you can develop. (Either PHP or VBScript) It will include answers to your issues, as well as the chapter and part it was from, so you can review. This can also enable me to give a more thorough explanation if needed.  Happy Developing.

March 01: Shoot Da Me Contest 1 Started

March 01: SDM Beta 3.2 Released
Posted On: Mar. 01
I said I'd do it, and I did. It's just a simple score posting URL change since we switched servers. No bugs are fixed as they are being released in another version. The GUI has also been repelled, the only thing changed is the URL. If you now, nor never want to post your score, then there is no need to download this update. I figure I'd save some dial-up users, by just including the exe. Replace it where you installed it. Usually its C:\Program Files\RS Games\ and click on Shoot Da Me 3.1 or anything similar to that (Must say 3 or higher). You can type in C:\Program Files\RS Games in Run, and hit enter. Then Right-Click and Copy the new exe, and paste it into the RS Games folder. Hit yes if it asks you to replace the file. That tutorial is for our less-technical users. Those needing assistance can contact us via email at rsgames@inbox.com.

Feb  25: More SDM Contest Info/New Software Idea
Date Posted: Feb. 25
Hola! Well, just to say our 'How do you win' has changed. The scoreboards say it all, whatever place your in, that's your place in the real contest. Everything else is explained in the SDM Contest Page. We are very happy to start our contest most likely this Friday.

Most of the software I create, such as my Sapi Say It, which I redesigned with an entire GUI, is for my own personal use, but I release it, usually open-source. In this case, you might call this a game, but we call it software. We present "RSG Typing 2008" (Thinking of better name!), a complex, advanced, typing software that allows goes through lessons, and exercises, as well as some timed games as your learning. We are working on features, but as of now it will have Learn, Practice and Game Mode.
  • Learn Mode: Quickly get your typing up to speed! Learn proper techniques, probably the boring part!
  • Practice Mode: Type what it says, easy way to practice lessons, and has a specific Practice 'Section' for every 'Lesson' taught in learn mode.
  • Game Mode: Practice your typing skills with various typing games, such as shark adventure, and many other fun things.
  • This will hopefully get you up to speed in typing, fun for the entire family, for everyone, with a complex GUI and Audio Interface suiting any person wishing to type better, or learn from scratch!
In need of volunteer voice actors!

Feb 24: SDM Contest Beggining Soon/Scoreposting
Well, I am overjoyed to have discovered the score posting bug, which has kept the boards down for some time. It was merely an error in the coding.  Also, many other bugs discovered during this painful process were also fixed. You may continue to post once the patch is released.

Also, our Score Posting contest has beginning soon. You must agree to all rules found on the SDM Contest Info. Page. Click here to go to SDM Contest Page. The determination of who wins has just been changed. Everything about the contest is explained, and if you have any questions or concerns you may contact us.  The score boards are up for this contest, and is a DIFFERENT EXE, with a DIFFERENT BOARD. You must download the new executable, which posts to a different board, a link can be found on the scoreboards page. INFO HAS CHANGED REGARDING HOW SOMEONE CAN WIN. PLEASE READ. Thank You.

    Feb 20: 20,000 hits is almost here/GUI
We will soon be approaching our twenty-thousandth hit! Even though we are many hits away, we will see 20,000 very soon, with our approaching release of Beta 4 with a real GUI, Part 2 in our surprisingly popular VB Tutorial that will continue to Part 3, once Part 2 is checked. We of course could not have dreamed of reaching 100 hits without our fellow audiogamers. I also didn't sit here pressing refresh or editing things.
    The GUI
We are very excited, as I was trying to add some visual things into Part 3, I decided to try a GUI of just the sounds. It went on and on, until it became a full GUI, and complete closed caption of Sapi, as well as the Left/Right/Middle, hit/miss, and special bars at the bottom to show health, copters landed, score and level. The game (not any boss) is completely accessible to the hearing impaired as well now. It also will in the future, contain small graphics, but as of now, I played the game with the mute button, while thinking back to when I thought audiogames were "boring", and seeing as it was just the non-GUI, and the game became non-boring, with all the GUI added. A more advanced storyline and of course the bugs and the side scroller will be coded. For those wishing a description and image of the GUI, please see our blog found on the top of this page.
    VB Tutorial Part 3!
It seems that our tutorial, VB 6, has become more popular then ever expected. A part 3 will be produced, teaching advanced methods such as:
  • Text File Generation
  • Basic Scripting
  • Interacting with DAT File
  • Interacting with Module
  • Timer
  • More Advanced Direct Soun
  • Working with Booleans
  • Understanding KeyCodes, an easier, less responsive, input system
  • Building a GUI
  • Understanding Cases
  • Advanced DAT: Loading and Saving Games
  • General Tips on Game Development in VB
  • VB's Top 10 Most Annoying: 10 Things you better look out for

  • Those are possibilities, some will be declined, and news ones will be added. Most of those topics will eventually be covered.

    Feb 14: Dev Center Updated
Well, our Dev Center is expanding, we will be adding Part 2, which very briefly covers Direct Sound and Direct Input. Between the two basic tutorials, it would be possible for a person to create a basic audio game. Things we added are:
  • Example Autoit-Written Excuse Generator (Open-Source) (Screen-Reader Needed)(Basic Autoit)
  • Guess The Voice Beta 0.1 (Open-Source, Screen Reader Needed) ( Very Basic Just Basic)
  • Guess The Voice Final Release 1 (Open-Source, Self-Voicing, Visual Basic 6)
  • Making AutoIt Talk: A Basic Tutorial on Making Autoit Play WAV Files and Use Sapi
  • Coming Soon ** Inno Setup(Open-Source)
It is also important to know that projects make be open-source, but do not include explanations. Most if not all open-source projects will contain comment lines to help you...
As you can see the Dev Center covers basics on many programming languages that are suitable for audio games, including more extensive knowledge on VB, however Autoit and JustBasic are very easy, and are free, and worth learning. I wish you good luck,
    -Ryan Smith

Feb 11. Score Posting Policy Enforced
Well, I don't like rules, but since some people feel they must abuse it, they are in effect. Please visit the Score Posting Policy Page Here. We are all about the fun, but they should not be a problem to anyone using a valid name (or Initials) or using Anon., or blank or valid email. That's basically it... just follow it, we also would rather not nicknames like "Dogman" or anything, but if people genuinely know you by that, I suppose it's okay. I am sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused our genuine users.
